1st ANNUAL RED RIBBON WEEK POSTER CONTEST

“LOOK AT ME, I’M DRUG FREE.”

Red Ribbon

The Taney County Prosecuting Attorney’s office is pleased to announce the first annual red ribbon week poster contest. From October 23-31st, the Taney County Prosecuting Attorney’s office is sponsoring red ribbon week for Taney County Schools. Red Ribbon week is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the United States. It is a program designed to teach our youth drug awareness and a drug free lifestyle. Banners, posters and drug free bracelets have been handed out to 5th and 6th grade students and classes in Taney County during recent presentations by Taney County Prosecuting Attorney, Jeffrey M. Merrell.

As a part of red ribbon week, the Taney County Prosecuting Attorney’s office is sponsoring a t-shirt design contest among area 5th and 6th graders for the theme “Look at Me , I’m Drug Free.” The grand prize winner for each school gets their choice of an Ipod Shuffle, a portable DVD player, or a 100.00 dollar gift card. The overall grand prize winner of all the schools will win a Nintendo Wii package and their design will be featured on a t-shirt that will be given to all area 5th and 6th grade students during red ribbon week.
