Craig Gallup of Forsyth, Missouri was sentenced Thursday to five (5) years imprisonment for domestic assault in the second degree, and four (4) years imprisonment for resisting arrest, both counts to run concurrent to each other. Pursuant to the plea agreement, the defendant will be remanded to the Department of Corrections under the Long Term Treatment program. This sentence and plea agreement arises from a incident in January of this year when Craig Gallup got into a fight with his father and later resisted his arrest by Branson Police Department Officers. Long Term Treatment is a twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) month treatment program in the Department of Corrections for chronic offenders with serious substance abuse problems.
