CHRISTOPHER DAVID ADAMS, DOB: 03/24, 1983, plead guilty to the class D felony of conspiracy and was sentenced to three (3) years in the Department of Corrections. On October 27th, 2007 Christopher Adams along with five other individuals conspired to break out of the Taney County Jail annex. The escape plan called for assaulting a Taney County Jailer. Deputies from the Taney County Sheriff’s Department caught word of the plan to escape and stopped it before it occurred recovering various items to be used as weapons. The five other individuals involved still have charges pending.
The class D felony of conspiracy has a range of punishment of one (1) day to (1) year in the County Jail, or one (1) year to four (4) years in the Department of Corrections, and/or fine not to exceed $5,000. Please be advised that the charges filed against the remaining defendants are merely accusations and the remaining defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
