Taney County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey M. Merrell announced today that RICHARD S. TOENEBOEHM dob: 05/02/1986 of Kimberling City, MO entered a plea without an agreement to the class D felony of involuntary manslaughter on February 7, 2008 in front of Taney County Circuit Judge Mark Orr. On August 3, 2004 RICHARD S. TOENEBOEHM was driving his Honda Civic at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic on Gretna Road in Branson. RICHARD S. TOENEBOEHM lost control of his vehicle and struck and killed a Branson Public Works Employee who was weed eating on the side of the road.

Formal sentencing in this case is set for April 17, 2008. The class D felony of involuntary manslaughter carries a range of punishment of one (1) day to one (1) year in the Taney County Jail, or one (1) year to four (4) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and/or a fine of up to $5,000.
