SETH E. HENDERSON, dob: 1/9/1973 of Reed Springs, Missouri was sentenced Wednesday by Taney County Circuit Judge Mark Orr to three (3) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the class C felony of unlawful possession of a firearm. Probation was denied.

On February 7th, 2009, during an on-going criminal investigation, Branson Police Officers made contact with SETH HENDERSON at his residence in Branson. During a search of SETH HENDERSON’S property officers discovered a fully loaded .22 caliber revolver. It was later learned by law enforcement that SETH HENDERSON had a prior felony conviction for the class D felony of unlawful use of a weapon.

In August of 2008, Governor Matt Blunt signed into law House Bill 2034 which expanded the laws relating to possession of a firearm. Under the new law it is a class C felony for a person to possess any firearm if such person has been convicted of a felony under the laws of the State of Missouri or of a crime under the laws of any state of the United States which if committed within Missouri, would constitute a felony.
