Taney County Prosecuting Attorney, Jeffrey M. Merrell announced today that CHRISTOPHER ALLEN SWIFT, dob: 9/8/1990 of Branson, Missouri plead guilty Thursday to two counts of the class C felony of burglary in the second degree and one count of the class D felony of property damage in the first degree. As a first time offender and under the terms of the plea agreement, CHRISTOPHER ALLEN SWIFT received a five (5) year sentence for each count of burglary and a four (4) year sentence for property damage. All three counts are to run concurrent and probation was denied.
On August 30 and September 3, 2008, CHRISTOPHER ALLEN SWIFT and other individuals broke into a Realty Office in Branson, Missouri where they damaged a desk, walls and doors. Two digital cameras and a cellular phone were stolen from the business. From on-site surveillance footage of both incidents, investigators from the Taney County Sheriff’s Department were able to identify CHRISTOPHER ALLEN SWIFT as one of the individuals involved in the burglaries.
Two other individuals remain charged in connection with these incidents. Please be advised that the charges filed against a defendant are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
