Taney County Prosecuting Attorney, Jeffrey M. Merrell announced today that MARTIN CLARK, dob: 10/3/1960 of Branson, Missouri plead guilty without a plea agreement Thursday to the class B felony of driving while intoxicated in front of Taney County Circuit Judge Mark Orr. MARTIN CLARK faces the entire range of punishment of five (5) to fifteen (15) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the offense. Formal sentencing is set for July 8, 2010.
On December 1, 2007, Corporal Polodna of the Missouri Highway Patrol stopped MARTIN CLARK in the parking lot of the Apple Market in Branson. Corporal Polodna observed MARTIN CLARK swerve on the shoulder as he was traveling in his vehicle West on Business 65. Upon contact with MARTIN CLARK, Corporal Polodna observed numerous indicators of intoxication and multiple clues of impairment on the standardized field sobriety tests. MARTIN CLARK submitted to a breath sample at the Taney County Jail which showed a blood alcohol content of 0.138 percent. Prior to this incident, MARTIN CLARK had four driving while intoxicated convictions on his record.
