Taney County Prosecuting Attorney, Jeffrey M. Merrell announced today that BRIAN JONSCHER, dob: 12/4/1970 of Kansas City, Kansas entered a plea of guilty without a plea agreement Thursday in front of Taney County Circuit Judge Mark Orr to the class D felony of attempted sexual misconduct involving a child by indecent exposure. As there was no plea agreement, BRIAN JONSCHER faces the entire range of punishment at sentencing of one (1) day to one (1) year in the Taney County Jail, or one (1) year to four (4) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and/or a fine not to exceed $5,000.
Between June 24, 2009 and July 1, 2009, an investigator with the Tri-Lakes Regional Internet Crimes Task Force was posing as a female under the age of fourteen (14) in a Missouri Yahoo! chat room. Contact was made with an individual under the Yahoo! ID sharpshooter. During the chat session the individual using the Yahoo! ID sharpshooter began to engage in sexually explicit chatting with the undercover investigator posing as a minor. He started a webcam session where live video was shared with the undercover investigator, and during the video webcam session the individual using the Yahoo! ID sharpshooter exposed himself to the undercover investigator and engaged in sexual contact with himself. Through follow-up investigation the individual was identified as the defendant, BRIAN JONSCHER of Kansas City, Kansas.
