Taney County Prosecuting Attorney, Jeffrey M. Merrell, announced today that JASON METTY, DOB: 8/14/1981, of Licking, Missouri, entered a guilty plea Thursday, September 8, 2011, to three (3) felonies, in the Taney County Circuit Court. Metty pleaded guilty to the charges of arson in the first degree, attempting to manufacture a controlled substance, and possession of anhydrous ammonia. Taney County Circuit Judge Mark Orr, accepted Metty’s guilty plea and sentenced Metty pursuant to a plea agreement between the defendant and the Taney County Prosecutor. Metty received twenty (20) years for the offense of arson in the first degree, fifteen (15) years for attempting to manufacture a controlled substance, and four (4) years for possession of anhydrous ammonia.
