Earlier today, a small committee of people charged with looking at the Missouri death penalty as compared with current American Bar Association standards, held a press conference to announce completion of their study. The voluminous document is being made available for review today on the ABA’s website.
In a statement released by the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys, MAPA President Bob McCulloch, of St. Louis County says, “No one cares more that the death penalty is fairly and effectively applied than Missouri’s prosecutors, who work hard every day to ensure that the guilty are punished and the innocent are protected.”
