On Tuesday, April 9, 2013, Associate Circuit Court Judge Tony Williams sentenced Marshall Davidson, d/o/b 7-10-1965, of Ozark, to two (2) consecutive one-year sentences in the Taney County Jail. Davidson had been found guilty on March 19, 2013, by Judge Williams of two (2) counts of the class A misdemeanor of failure to pay his child support. One year is the maximum jail sentence for a class A misdemeanor.
“This is a great result and a good message to send those in our community who are not providing financial support for their children,” says Taney County Prosecutor Jeff Merrell. “A special thanks to Assistant Prosecutor Jonathan Osborne for taking a strong position on the crime of non-support for the children in our county.”
Jonathan Osborne is the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney from the Regional Prosecutors’ Child Support Office, representing Taney, Christian, and Greene Counties.
