On Wednesday afternoon, May 17, 2017, a Taney County jury found RONALD McLEMORE, d/o/b 5-23-1957, formerly of Taneyville, Missouri, guilty of enticement of a child, attempted sodomy in the first degree, and two (2) counts of sexual misconduct with a child by indecent exposure. The ten-woman, two-man jury deliberated for just over one-and-a-half hours before delivering its verdict. Judge Eric Eighmy, who presided over the trial – which began on Monday, May 15, 2017 – scheduled McLemore’s sentencing for August 3, 2017, at 1:00 p.m.

The Taney County Prosecutor’s Office presented evidence that McLemore babysat his girlfriend’s young granddaughters between June 1, 2014, and December 29, 2015. The evidence was that two (2) young girls disclosed that McLemore masturbated in their presence, tried to lure them into his bedroom, and tried to force them to touch his genitals.

The charges of enticement of a child and attempted sodomy in the first degree are unclassified felonies carrying a maximum penalty of up to thirty (30) years each in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Sexual misconduct with a child by indecent exposure is a class D felony carrying a maximum penalty of four (4) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and/or a $5,000.00 fine.
