RONALD McLEMORE, d/o/b 5-23-1957, formerly of Taneyville, Missouri, was sentenced on Thursday, August 10, 2017, to ten (10) years in prison for enticement of a child, ten (10) years in prison for attempted sodomy in the first degree, and four (4) years in prison – each – for two (2) counts of sexual misconduct with a child by indecent exposure. On May 17, 2017, a Taney County jury found McLemore guilty of the four (4) felonies after just over one-and-a-half hours of deliberation.

Judge Eric Eighmy, who presided over McLemore’s jury trial, sentenced McLemore after hearing arguments from the defense and from Taney County Assistant Prosecutor Shana Mora. Judge Eighmy ordered the two (2) 10-year sentences to run consecutively with one another, while the two (2) 4-year sentences are to run concurrently with each other.

At the jury trial in May, the Taney County Prosecutor’s Office presented evidence that McLemore babysat his girlfriend’s young granddaughters between June 1, 2014, and December 29, 2015. The evidence was that two (2) young girls disclosed that McLemore masturbated in their presence, tried to lure them into his bedroom, and tried to force them to touch his genitals.

The charges of enticement of a child and attempted sodomy in the first degree are unclassified felonies carrying a maximum penalty of up to thirty (30) years each in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Sexual misconduct with a child by indecent exposure is a class D felony carrying a maximum penalty of four (4) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and/or a $5,000.00 fine.
