Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney
Thomas joined the office on April 1, 2013. He graduated in 2007 from Saint Louis University with a degree in sociology and in 2010 with a degree in law. Prior to joining Taney County, Thomas was employed as an Assistant Public Defender in Missouri’s 37th Judicial Circuit. While there, Thomas worked on a variety of felony and misdemeanor cases, ranging from traffic offenses to homicide.

Ms. Yianitsas joined the office on December 3, 2018. She graduated in 2013 from Texas Tech University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, in 2015 with a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies, and received her law degree from The University of Kansas in 2018. During law school she worked for Bloomberg Law as a Product’s Advocate and was a law clerk in a general civil litigation firm in Topeka, Kansas. She completed internships with both Douglas County Legal Aid Society, Inc. and the Paul E. Wilson Project for Innocence and Post-Conviction Remedies.
