Victim/Witness Advocate
The Taney County Prosecuting Attorney Victim Witness Advocate is here to provide the help and support you need as the victim or witness to a crime. I understand that being a victim or witness to a crime can be a trying experience and I want you to know that you are important to our office. My purpose is to assist and inform you, so you will have a better understanding of the criminal justice system and the role that you will play in bringing individual(s) to justice. I can provide you assistance with:
- Crisis Intervention
- Domestic Violence Assistance
- Referrals to counseling and crisis management
- Eduation about the criminal justice process
- Community referrals to support groups
- Missouri Crime Victim’s Compensation Application and Assistance
- Restitution assistance
- Spiritual guidance
- State Agency referrals
