Kevan Rudolph, dob: 6/7/69, of Branson, Missouri, plead guilty this morning to the class C felony of domestic assault in the second degree. Kevan Rudolph was set to begin a jury trial in the Circuit Court of Taney County, Missouri. In April of this year, Kevan Rudolph got into an argument with his spouse and during the argument threw a Pringles can that struck their two year old daughter in the head. The argument escalated leading to Kevan Rudolph threatening his spouse with a kitchen knife. Formal sentencing is set for November 15th, 2007 where the Court will decide a sentence of up to five (5) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. In response to the plea, Jeffrey M. Merrell stated, “Although I am happy we have been able to secure justice for another victim of domestic abuse, I am disappointed that the forty-six or so Taney County citizens called for jury duty had to spend their morning at the Courthouse for a trial that never materialized.”
