Taney County Prosecuting Attorney, Jeffrey M. Merrell announced today that TRAVIS DOANE, dob: 02/17/1980 of Forsyth, Missouri was sentenced last Thursday by Taney County Circuit Judge Mark Orr to the maximum sentence of four (4) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the class D felony of unlawful use of a weapon. Probation was denied.

On October 1, 2008 at a residence in Forsyth, TRAVIS DOANE pointed a rifle in an angry and threatening manner at a mother and her five (5) year old son. The rifle, a pellet gun was later recovered and seized by the Taney County Sheriff’s Department.

The class D felony of unlawful use of a weapon has a range of punishment of one (1) day to one (1) year in the Taney County jail, or one (1) years to four (4) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and/or a fine not to exceed $5,000.
