Taney County Prosecuting Attorney, Jeffrey M. Merrell announced today that CYLDE A. MARTIN, dob: 11/08/1963 of Kirbyville, Missouri was found guilty of forgery by a ten (10) women, two (2) men Taney County Jury on Monday.
On August 9, 2007, deputies with the Taney County Sheriff’s Department made contact with the defendant on K-Dock in Kirbyville, Missouri. When asked for his identity, CLYDE MARTIN gave deputies the wrong name, date of birth, and social security number. During the contact, the deputies discovered a marijuana pipe in plain view in CLYDE MARTIN’S vehicle. CLYDE MARTIN was arrested and given a citation for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia under the false name. CLYDE MARTIN signed the false name to the ticket. Later at the jail, the same deputies discovered that CLYDE MARTIN had used and signed a false name to the ticket.
