On Thursday, August 10, 2017, CHRIS D. BORGES-BESARES (d/o/b 08-03-1996), of Branson, entered a guilty plea to the class A felony of robbery in the first degree, in front of Associate Circuit Judge Eric Eighmy.
On December 15, 2016, Borges-Besares, Juan C. Rodriguez – who entered a guilty plea on July 20, 2017 – and another individual, entered the Dalton’s Express convenience store wearing bandanas over their faces, and pointed guns at the store clerk while customers were present in the store. The three (3) men demanded money from the register and received $502.00. All three (3) fled in a car and were subsequently captured – thanks to the quick response of the Branson Police Department.
Pursuant to a plea agreement, the Taney County Prosecutor’s Office will argue for fifteen (15) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Formal sentencing in Borges-Besares’ case is set for October 26, 2017.
