Victim/Witness Advocates

The Taney County Prosecuting Attorney Victim/Witness Advocates are here to provide the help and support you need as the victim or witness to a crime. We understand that being a victim or witness to a crime can be a trying experience and we want you to know that you are important to our office. Our purpose is to assist and inform you, so you will have a better understanding of the criminal justice system and the role that you will play in bringing individuals to justice. We can provide assistance with:

  • Crisis Intervention
  • Domestic violence assistance
  • Referrals to counseling and crisis management
  • Education about the criminal justice process
  • Community referrals to support groups
  • Missouri Crime Victims’ Compensation application and assistance
  • Restitution assistance
  • Spiritual guidance
  • State agency referrals
